What an inspiring story! This was my first full marathon too. I remember I didn't sleep at all (not a wink) the night before and considered (not more than a couple seconds though) skipping it. I knew I would never forgive myself if I did that. I also remember at the half/full split physically moving myself as far to the right as I could and said out loud "don't you dare!" I thought miles 17 to 21 were the most difficult too. Once I saw the mile 25 marker I started sprinting and didn't care how bad it hurt. Crossing the finish line is something I'll never forget. You did great and had a better time than me. I kept telling myself my only goal was to finish, but deep down i wanted to finish in under 5 hours.<br /><br />Great job!
